Career/Vocational Assessment

If you don't have a clue about what you want to do with the rest of your life, have no fear - YOU'RE NOT ALONE!  If you are interested in taking an assessment test to help narrow down your choices for a major in college, or if you'd just like to find out where you natural talents lie, you have several options... 

The ASVAB Test
Each year in November, Santa Clara High provides the ASVAB test free of charge for 11th through 12th graders. This is a 3-hour battery assessment test that finds out what you'd like to do, as well as what you'd be good at doing.  You can sign up for the ASVAB test in the College Career Resource Center.  Santa Clara High School offers the ASVAB once a year, generally in November.  Please visit the College & Career Resource Center more more information.  You can read more about it the ASVAB here:  ASVAB INFO.

On-Line Assessment Tests

Select New Users
Select Student and choose your grade level from the drop down menu.
Click Continue to create your account.
During the process you will need to creat a unique user name and password.  Write down your user name and password in the space provided for future reference.
You will also be asked to enter an N Code provided by the school.  Enter: N3459326XUKBe sure to check the box next to "I have read agree to the terms and conditions of use."
Click Create New Acount to complete the process.
Click on Learn About Myself from the top navigation menu.
Choose Take an Assessment and click on one of the assessment titles. 
Follow the directions.  Visit the College and Career Resource Center or you Counselor if you'd like help interpreting your test results.

Follow the directions
When you have completed the test, click on Submit
Click on one of your personality types to find a short description of the careers that fit your personality type.
Click on one of the careers that you find interesting and it will give you a list of program titles that may match your interests.
Click on of these titles to find which of our Bay Area Community Colleges offer those programs.
