  • This video helps explain the application process.

  • Your placements (math and English) will still be based off the GPA that you report on your application. There is no need to submit transcripts unless you did not report a GPA on your application.
  • ESL students can now do the assessment online. Sign up for an ESL assessment is on the ESL Assessment page. Unfortunately, De Anza is not offering in-person assessments during the shelter-in-place.
  • Here is  a step-by-step video for you to find and understand your placements.

  • **New** There are two options for completing orientation.
    • Option 1: The online orientation lets you work at your own pace, using the Canvas online learning system.
    • Option 2: The video workshop option lets you participate in a live video session with a counselor and other students. The zoom orientation will be held every Thursday from 3-4:30. It will be open to all new students but space is limited per session.

Note: You must first submit the application and receive your De Anza ID number (CWID) before completing the orientation. It normally takes 24-48 business hours for a CWID to be generated.
